Making the Most of Your Local Pharmacy

Your local pharmacist is a fully qualified healthcare professional and can often help faster than waiting for a GP appointment.

Pharmacy First

Under the Pharmacy First scheme, pharmacists can now assess and treat a number of common conditions directly, including some infections, without needing a GP appointment first.

Common Conditions Pharmacists Can Treat

Pharmacists can advise on and treat many everyday issues:

  • coughs
  • colds
  • minor aches
  • skin complaints
  • and more

and will always tell you if something needs to be seen by a GP instead.
